Learning organization in practice

Recently one of our executives published a summary of an internal report that included the breakdown of seniority levels across his organization. The report compared this year's seniority level of our workforce in major discipline areas with last year. I can’t share the report date for obvious reasons but overall it was positive and showed that Microsofties are learning and moving up the ladder and as a result, the organization is benefiting from higher skilled workers. The report was a good sign of a learning organization where we create opportunities for our workforce to learn new skills and grow to increase their level of contribution over time. It was promising .... and I am sure we can do better next year…...
